TRAINING CLASSES
This Class is run by the Boone County Emergency Managment Office, and not the Boone County CERT Council. Basic Training CLICK HERE FOR UPCOMING CLASS SCHEDULE Currently two training programs are planned each year, one beginning in the second week of March, the other beginning in the second week of September. Classes are 8 weeks long, and end with a disaster simulation.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and volunteer program offers members of the public an opportunity to learn basic hands-on disaster response techniques. The program is a 24-hour class taught over several sessions, that covers:
Upon completion of the full 24-hour class, participants have the option to become an active Citizen Corps CERT volunteer and assist professional emergency services following a disaster.
