Currently two basic training programs are planned each year, one in March, the other beginning in September. Classes are 9 weeks long, and end with a disaster simulation.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and volunteer program offers members of the public an opportunity to learn basic hands-on disaster response techniques. The program is a 30 hour class taught over several sessions, that covers:
Upon
completion of the full 30 hour class,
participants have the option to become an Active CERT Volunteer and assist professional emergency services following a
disaster.

Enrolling in a CERT
class does not obligate you to become an Active CERT volunteer.
